Some Things...

Don't some things around you just relax you? You can be running around in chaos and then all of a sudden, little things, normal things, things you see everyday, can just relax you even for a moment...

Happy Friday! I hope it relaxes you.

Winterize

I went to a winter wedding this weekend and finally had the chance to wear the cropped fur shrug I bought in the summer (on sale, down from $200 to $40!) Remember you can click on the photos to enlarge.
Wearing dress from Zara, suede pumps by Steve Madden, elbow length suede gloves from H&M, vintage clutch, Tiffany earings and faux fur shrug from Anthropologie.
Hope you all have a lovely weekend!

To Self-Plagiarize

Just recently on my way to class, I was stopped to be photographed for the Queen's University Vogue Fashion Show streetstyle blog; To Self-Plagiarize. This blog is a great mix of the "university-life" type of style I see on campus everyday. Check it out....

Cheap & Chic's Gift Guide - Under 100$

It's starting to be that ridiculously busy time of year again. So instead of frantically rushing around a shopping mall trying to buy your special someone(s) a present...hop on-line and do a little searching. Almost everyone has something affordable and darling on sale right now.
These are my (a)most wanted, (b) already purchased cause I couldn't wait or (c) little things I might get for people I love.....and you might too!
Anthropologie's Tri Petal Bobbies @ $6.95 for the girly girl.
Anthropologie's Dining Room Measuring Spoons @ $24.00 for the baker at heart.
Anthropologie's Stormy Nut Bowls @ $10.00 each for the entertainer.
JCrew's Solid New Glamour Top @ $50.00 for the glamour puss....(I have this in blue and just bought this in white as well...fits beautifully.)
JCrew's Solid Foldover Swim Shorts @ $46.00 to match with the glamour top (I also have these in blue and they're super flattering.)
Ralph Lauren's Slim Fit Chelsea Oxford, on sale @ $54.00 in multiple colours for the prep.
Anthropologie's La Boheme Butter Dish @ $14.00 for the occasional indulgence.
Asos' Long Fantasy Fur Snood @ $34.48 for the ultra cheap and chic, even in the freezing cold...I've had my eye on this since the summer!
Asos' Nude Feather Clutch @ $44.82 to fancy-up those last minute holiday parties.
Asos' Partytime Peeptoe Platforms @ $77.58 for the anywhere-anytime gal, perfect with slouchy socks, over-the-knee stockings or sparkly tights.
Asos' HeadBand Turban @ $13.79 for those who don't want to sacrifice warmth for style...I also have this and it was a great buy!
When in doubt I usually keep stores like Anthropologie and Urban Outfitters in mind because they have home-decor sections. Anthropologie has these great little teacups and mugs with various initials on them, which is a perfect, affordable way to say "I'm thinking of you!" I've gotten tons of little unique decor gifts for low prices at these stores so keep them in mind!
Happy Shopping!

A Tailored Game

Despite the ultra-cool, slouchy, biker, messy, I-don't-give-a-damn looks out and about everywhere at the moment, now and again it's nice to pull it all together with some tailoring. I really mix the two styles a lot, it looks and feels great to have some variety from one end of the put-together spectrum to the next.
