DIY!

So for my whole life, I shared a room with my little sister. So when I finally left home for university and moved into an AWESOME house...I had my VERY own room to decorate for the first time EVER. How exciting.
I always wanted a vanity table. So I found this thing. And turned it INTO a vanity table. How? Well above is the original....
I sanded down all the surfaces, fitted a thin piece of wood for the desk top, primed and painted. Found a mirror to rest on top and a matching stool (both second hand, painted in the same colour).
TA DAAAA!
I also did the same thing to an old second hand end table...
Found an old framed photograph by Robert Doisneau in my basement for above the bed.
Some cheap art...aka pretty ads from my old Vogues.
An interesting way to hang your jewellery. A little bit of wall art.
Found a cheap vanity tray at Home Sense.
And affordable little crystal knobs for the drawers.
A little wall decal and the room was complete! DIY is so affordable, easy and really, it's something you can be proud of when it's all said and done!

Spring!

How FUN is Prada's 2011 Spring Collection...I'm so not into talking about Spring when it's not even really FALL weather yet but...Spring collections are out and well, I've been looking at Fall collections since March so it's about time to switch it up....Here is a little preview with Prada's funny and slightly awkward Spring 2011 collection.

Never Fails To Impress

One of my very favourite designers, Lanvin, really never fails to impress. This collection, just like the last, is stunning. The draped, off the shoulder styles are so curvy and womanly. The cinched waist is perfect in contrast with the volume of the wool coat in look one. And the fabulous fur shoulders/arms in the last look is so over the top fantastic in comparison to the cinched, petite body of the rest of the look. Who is your favourite designer? What are you loving for fall?

Swingin 70s

I absolutely love the 70s vibe that's come back for Fall 2010. I'm in love with the camel coats and denim as well as the muted, almost bland looking colour palette. My favourite is the middle part in the hair which I try to rock all the time.
