Dying To Be Thin

I get that the fashion industry is under fire on this issue constantly. But the truth is, it will be very difficult to monitor models' weight, not to mention the vision of the designer. The facts remain - the designers have the power to change the minds of thousand of women about their ideal body and until designers take it that seriously, the problems of eating disorders will ravage the fashion industry. Read this article and let me know what you think! Also, the quote mentioned by Kate Moss disgusts me.

I Get By With A Little Help From My...

I know I've done a post like this before, a while back now but I can't resist doing another one. I just love these old photographs of my family through the ages, style and all.

Another Little Shout-Out

A few months ago I had my photo taken by the Queen's University Vogue Street Style blog, To Self Plagiarize, and they recently posted a link to my site, which I've gotten a bunch of hits from. Just wanted to say thanks for the shout out to my fellow Queen's students! And please check out the blog, here. The photos are gorgeous and makes me miss the Queen's life! Also, if you're in Kingston, definitely go see the Vogue Charity Fashion show!

Snapshots

A few quick photos of my time here in Sweden so far. Enjoy!
And remember, you should be able to click the photos to enlarge.
One of the tallest and most profound church buildings in Scandinavia,
this cathedral stands in central Uppsala and can be seen from miles around.

The view from my window at sunset.

Of a new favourite Swedish label, MTWTFSS WEEKDAY.

The oh-so-handy pocket Wallpaper City Guides that my friend
James found for me before I left. Plus a cheap bottle of wine, which is
hard to find in Sweden.

Some homey touches courtesy of Ikea.

Gustavo, Gamla Stan, Stockholm

The back walkways of Gamla Stan (Old Town), Stockholm.

A view of the skyline at sunset in Stockholm.

Swans at the port in Stockholm.

Myself, standing across from the National Museum that you can see
in the back right, Stockholm.

A beautiful entryway of a Lutheran church that had Sunday service in
English, Stockholm.

S/S 2011

Here are a few links to some of my favourite spring collections from 2011 and the looks I'll probably be trying to channel the most!

Always a favourite of mine...Balmain

The both bright and neutral hues of Michael Kors

And the simultaneously classic and funky Proenza Schouler
